About Bas on Tech

My name is Bas van Dijk, entrepreneur, freelance frontend developer and maker. With Bas on Tech I share video tutorials on a wide variety of tech subjects i.e. Arduino, Blender, Fusion 360 and 3D printing.

In 2003 I discovered Blender, a Dutch made open source 3D modelling tool. The interface was quite complex and difficult to understand. After lots of trial and error I was able to model my own "software box".

2005 became the year where I wrote my own Blender ebook: BlenderCourse. BlenderCourse was a 100 pages free PDF ebook, which allowed everyone to lear working with Blender. This book was written for Blender 2.37

Nowadays Blender looks completely different, which made the ebook obsolete. I took this as a change to create a new video serie about Blender.

With Bas on Tech I want to share my knowledge so others can experience this happiness as well. I've chosen to make short, yet powerful YouTube videos with a the same structure and one subject per video. Each video is accompanied by the Blender files.
